The village is surrounded by very attractive cities such as Veliko Turnovo,
Turgovishte, Razgrad, Ruse, Svishtov and Pleven. Each one has

Veliko Turnovo, to its thriving modern nightlife, you will understand why this is one of
the most seeked holiday destinations in Bulgaria. The ancient market settlement
Turgovishte is also known as an agricultural & wine producing region with plenty of
artificial lakes and forests rich in game & picturesque landscape. An attractive touristic town,
Razgrad is crossed by important roads, connecting Central Europe with the Black
Sea region and Asia. Also called "Mini-Vienna" by its admirers, Ruse,
situated by the margins of the Danube River, is one of the most beautiful cities because
of its unique architecture. Also by the margins of the Danube River, Svishtov is a

Also located very close to the village is the Town of Byala. The bridge spanning
Yantra River by the town, is the work of the famous builder Kolyo Ficheto. It was
build of stone in 1867 and is all of 267 metres long. They say that it is a technical miracle of
its time!! People still tell the tale of how Kolyo Ficheto accepted the commission to build a
bridge accross the wild waters of the Yantra for a definite period of time and precisely
fixed sum of money. He measured the river and built the bridge with quick mastery. It's a must
visit place!!
Well located in the peaceful Bulgarian countryside and very close to the famous

The Municipality of Strajitsa occupies part of the fore-balkan and the Danubian

Water resources are defined by the rivers Stara Reka, Lefedja, Golyama

VELIKO TURNOVO & REGION
The Historical Veliko Turnovo, located on the famous "Yantra River" (the 3rd
longest Bulgarian tributary of the Danube River) is one of the most seeked destinations
for tourists in Bulgaria.
Situated at the foot of Stara Planina Mountains in North Central Bulgaria, it attracts
many tourists due to its unique architecture and history. The houses, stacked one above the

and calm atmosphere of the mountain throughout the year. The surrounding sites of Uzana
are suitable for spaleology and rock climbing. There are possibilities for cultural tourism in
the region. In the nearby open-air "Ethnographic Museum Etara" people can learn more
about Bulgarian crafts. The "Sokolski Monastery" is situated a few miles away from Uzana.
