VILLAGE OF GORSKO SLIVOVO & REGION
Gorsko Slivovo is a nice and picturesque village, located in North-Central Bulgaria at the foot of the Balkan Mountains, 25 miles away from the Town of Lovech and 40 miles from Town of Gabrovo.
The village has all basic amenities for a normal living such as food shops, local pubs, post office, transport, etc. The region has a large array of tourist attractions including: country
trails, cycling, kayak, hunting, horse-riding,
canyon discovery, cave exploration, treasure-hunts, etc. There are special incentives given by municipal authorities for business creation and foreign investment in the municipality of Letnitza and in the region. There are under-exploited tourism opportunities for
foreign and local tourism.
The highest and most beautiful waterfall in Bulgaria - Krushuna Waterfall - is located only 8 miles away.
The village is situated close to the wonderful Aleksandrovo Lake where residents can go fishing or sunbathing. It's a very peaceful and well appointed village, offering perfect conditions for year round living. And the easy access to Sevlievo and Lovech makes it even more attractive.
I'S A VERY ATTRACTIVE AREA. THERE ARE ALREADY SOME FOREIGN INVESTORS THERE!!
The coastal City of Varna with its famous beach resorts and international airport is about 180 miles away.
The village is located approximately 110 miles to the capital City Sofia & International Sofia Airport, and about 130 miles away to the City of Bucharest (RO) and its International Airport "Otopeni". Also not too far is the lovely architectural City of Ruse, only 80 miles away, bordering Bulgaria and Romenia on the Danube River.
It is only about 37 miles to the historical and touristic City of Veliko Turnovo. Located on the famous "River Yantra" (the 3rd longest Bulgarian tributary of the Danube River), "VT" is one of the most popular destinations for tourists in Bulgaria. From its rich historical value to its thriving modern nightlife and lush natural surroundings that provide many excellent opportunities for outdoor recreational activities, Veliko Turnovo offers you everything you could ever want for the perfect holiday!!
Next to Veliko Turnovo is the famous Ski Resort Uzana.
This really is a property with potential !!
LOVECH & REGION
Lovech is located on the borderline between the Danube Plain and the northern foothills of the Balkan and it covers the river terraces of the famous Osam River. It is situated about 105 miles to the north-east of Sofia, 21 miles to the north of Troyan, 53 miles to the west of Veliko Turnovo and 40 miles to the north-west of Gabrovo. It is one of the oldest and most interesting Bulgarian towns.
Definitely one of the most amazing sights to be visited in Lovech is Varosha Quarter. Varosha Architecture-Historical Reserve is located in the old quarter of the town, amphitheatrically situated along the bank of the Osam river. Another spectacular place of interest is the Old Covered Bridge in the centre of the town, which was built three times. It is now a beautiful architecture bridge, with covered shops and stores, the river murmuring beneath and telling stories of the past.
In terms of natural landmarks Lovech has to offer much as well. The Stratesh Park and the Bash Bounar Park are wonderful places for recreation and relax amongst nature. Plenty of small and big caves in the rocky banks of the Osam River are found nearby. A great historical place of interest in the region is “Kukrinsko Hanche” Museum, located in the nearby Village of Kukrina. Another interesting village is Oreshak, famous mostly for the “Crafts and Applied Arts” National Fair, where a variety of articles of art crafts from the region are exhibited. Demonstrations of masters and tasting of the famous Troyan plum brandy (rakiya) are organized there.
There is a wide choice of good restaurants, pizza and fast food restaurants, cafes and bars in Lovech. Tourists have to surely try the traditional local specialties and of course to taste the famous Lovech Plums Brandy and the aromatic wines of the fertile region.
