VILLAGE OF HADJIDIMITROVO
Hadjidimitrovo is located in Central North Bulgaria, between the cities of
Svishtov and Veliko Turnovo. It's a quiet & peaceful village, surrounded by a
lovely stunning nature. It was named after a famous Bulgarian hero, known to have sacrificed
his own life for the freedom of Bulgaria.
It has all basic amenities for a normal living. There is Village Hall, Post Office, local
shops, bars, etc and regular transport to nearby towns and villages. It is situated in an area
with breathtaking scenery, suitable for picnics and walks, with fresh air and clean water.
The village is surrounded by very attractive cities such as Svishtov, Ruse, Veliko Turnovo,
Pleven, and others. Each one with their unique beauty and something interesting to amaze you.
It is located only a few miles from the main road Sofia-Pleven-Ruse / Sofia-Pleven-Veliko
Turnovo. Also only 8 miles from the City and Port of Svishtov, on the margins of the

SVISHTOV & REGION
Svishtov Municipality is situated in the northernmost part of Veliko Turnovo
District and borders through the Danube River the Republic of Romania. This is
where the southernmost point of the Danube River is located. It's one of the leading
industrial and agricultural centers in Veliko Turnovo District.
In its territory there are presently 120 official archaeological, art and architectural
monuments of culture of local and national significance. The "Town Museum of History",
the "Ethnographic Museum", the "Aleko Konstantinov House-Museum" in which the
heart of the great Bulgarian is preserved in a glass vessel; the "Holy Trinity Church"
which is the most interesting architectural monument; and many others.
VELIKO TURNOVO & REGION
Veliko Turnovo, located on the famous "Yantra River" (the 3rd longest Bulgarian
tributary of the Danube River) is one of the most seeked destinations for tourists in
Bulgaria.
Situated at the foot of Stara Planina Mountains in North Central Bulgaria, it attracts
many tourists due to its unique architecture and history. The houses, stacked one above the
other, situated on the sloppy hills of the city show a remarkable, unique architectural style.
Even as an ancient city, Veliko Turnovo has modern and original bars, eateries and
shops as well as the ultra modern Grand Central Mall (One of Bulgaria's largest), with a
multiplex cinema, shops, atrium and kids play area there is definitely something for everyone
in the mall alone. Veliko Turnovo's museums are varied and show the history of the
ancient city as well as present some relics of the past.
The closest ski resort is in "Uzana" (pics below), the geographic center of Bulgaria,
located at about 28 miles from Veliko Turnovo. There are several hotels in the resort
which provide tourism opportunities and good conditions for relaxation among the quiet and
calm atmosphere of the mountain throughout the year. The surrounding sites of Uzana are
suitable for spaleology and rock climbing. There are possibilities for cultural tourism in the
region. In the nearby open-air "Ethnographic Museum Etara" people can learn more about
Bulgarian crafts. The "Sokolski Monastery" is situated a few miles away from Uzana.
