Infrastructure
Dve mogili has a municipal building, a police station, a post office, a church, a polyclinic, an emergency medical service, a secondary school and a professional agriculture high school.
The town is set on both sides of the railway line Ruse-Gorna Oryahovitsa. The directions are Ruse-Gorna Oryahovitsa and Ruse-Sofia. The bus station connects the town with the neighboring municipalities and the towns of Ruse, Byala and Popovo.
Tourism
Tourists may visit the Monument and House-museum of Philip Totyu in the centre of the town. Philip Totyu was a Bulgarian revolutionary of the Bulgarian National Revival period and the leader of an armed band of volunteers. His grave is well-preserved and turned into a monument.
In the summer of 2009 the local open-air theatre was renovated and opened.
A traditional folk dance fair takes place every spring in the town. The participants come from different countries - Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus, Turkey, Serbia, etc.
An interesting natural landmark is Orlova Chuka cave which is the second largest cave in Bulgaria. It is located in the gorge of Cherni Lom River - 4 km away from the town.
Another place of interest is Natural Park 'Rusenski Lom' which has an attractive combination of caves, rock formations, historical monuments and rich animal and plant variety.
Ruse is the biggest Bulgarian river port on the Danube River, serving an important part of the international trade of the country. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Nature around the city of Ruse ** Natural Park “Rusenski Lom” — The Rusenski Lom River Valley, along with its tributaries Beli (White), Malki (Little) and Cherni (Black) Lom represents a unique world in itself in which the amazing nature is entwined into Bulgaria's past history. Part of the valley was proclaimed a Natural Park. The park is located about 20 km to the south-west from Ruse. It was created in 1970 with the purpose of preserving the canyons of the three rivers, their flora, fauna and historical landmarks. The closest ski resort to Ruse is in "Uzana" (pics below), the geographic center of Bulgaria about 28 miles from Veliko Turnovo. The surrounding sites of Uzana are suitable for spaleology and rock climbing. There are possibilities for cultural tourism in the region. In the nearby open-air "Ethnographic Museum Etara" people can learn more about Bulgarian crafts. The "Sokolski Monastery" is situated a few miles away from Uzana.
